Garrison Rochelle
Garrison is the teacher of hip hop dance at the \"Amici di Maria De Filippi\" school. Garrison is American and he was born in ’55 in Texas. He attended the “Southern Methodist University” of Dallas and he speaks three languages: English, Italian and Spanish.
He began working as a ballet dancer and then as a choreographer, and he has taken part in various ballet companies in America as well as numerous “musicals”, including “Dancin” by the great Bob Fosse, with whom he participated in the European tours.
In Italy he is well known as a dancer in from many successful television programs, including “Fantastico 4” where he worked alongside Heather Parisi.
As a choreographer he has directed numerous programs including “Festivalbar 89/90”, six editions of “La sai l’ultima”, three of “Sotto a chi tocca”, and “Unomania”, where he taught dance steps to stars like Madonna and Michael and Janet Jackson. Since 1998 he has been working with Buona Domenica.
In “Amici” Garrison works together with Maura Paparo; he finds this scholastic experience gratifying and comments : 'I like this role helping youngsters make their dreams come true, unlike us teachers, they have such an incredible desire to learn that it stimulates me to work with real enthusiasm. Actually, I’m sorry I can’t dedicate them more of my time. I also have a dream of my own, to combine my own fields with other disciplines, such as singing for example.'
